21 couples tie a knot on a deserted sofa at a grand wedding in Srinagar
Srinagar, Mar 23: At least 21 couples from poor families got married during a grand wedding organized by the Helping Hand Foundation NGO of Jammu and Kashmir in Srinagar on Wednesday. This marriage has been observed by many.
The Helping Hand’s NGO has hosted such events before, but this year’s event, with 21 couples, has been the biggest so far, organizers said.
According to the organizers, many wedding expenses are incurred. We are planning a mass event to spread the word to the public to reduce overhead costs. Several married couples here have learned. This will help to send the message that educated people are emerging and benefiting needy families in remote areas.
The process for couples to plan their wedding is simple, said President Umer Helping Hands.
Our goal in organizing such a wedding is to promote a simple Nikkah, as lobola and other bad practices have become a headache for poor people.
Another member said that nowadays many irrational cultures are infiltrating our society, and as a result, marriage has become inaccessible to many. He said the NGO had witnessed many incidents in the community where women aged 30 to 40 were unmarried because of these traditions.
“We want to spread the good news of this mass wedding where we have married 21 couples from different districts of the Valley to make the wedding more affordable,” he said.
The organizers wanted wealthy people to think before spending big money on their weddings. Those who use lakhs for their children’s weddings should first look at whether their neighbors have been able to marry their wards. We quickly become a materialistic society where we do not bother to look for our poor neighbors or relatives. “
The couple from central Kashmir said that they were happy that their marriage had taken place so easily and that it had been witnessed by so many people.
They said they were given all these items by a private organization and were asked to submit only their papers.
After that, the NGO confirmed our guarantees and today by the grace of Allah, we got married.
They told us that getting married would not be possible because we could not afford the wedding. With the help of this NGO, our marriage took place without any problems.
The Helping Hands Foundation, a non-governmental organization, said, “It is the people who donate all of this couple’s belongings. We just take our progress and complete things.
We give the bride everything, except jewelry.
Since the inception of the NGO, more than 330 couples have tied the knot on the sofa with the help of this NGO.
A member of the NGO said people were looking for brides only. We help them by giving them help and other things in their marriage.
Those who come to us after graduating partners Our team verifies their credentials correctly and, after proper verification, this NGO assists them.
He went on to say that with the formation of Tehsil, district committees collect the details of the poor and, after receiving a true report, their marriages are easily conducted.
