Cancelled JKPSC exams to be conducted afresh in November: LG Manoj Sinha
Srinagar, Oct 30: Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Sunday said that recently cancelled exams conducted by the Public Service Commission will be now held afresh in the month of November and the merit won’t be compromised.
“The exams were cancelled after allegations of irregularities and the government also ordered a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the selection process,” the LG said while addressing a function at SKICC srinagar.
“All three exams cancelled will be held in November now,” he said, adding that 30,000 youth in Jammu and Kashmir got jobs in past three years while 5 lakh youth were provided a chance of self-employment,” he added.
He futher said that the Govt assures all aspirants that culprits will not be spared and there won’t be any compromise on merit either.
“We will have to be alert as some elements are trying to disturb peaceful atmosphere. We will have to keep an eye on them and deal with them strictly,” he added.(KNS)
