“The advance booking for the film is quite impressive in Inox, Cinepolis and PVR. It is also getting a wide release on other screens. The story is a new one for the Hindi audience as Mohanl’s version is available only in Malayalam. The day 1 collection will be between Rs 9 crore and Rs 10 crore in India,” he told India Today.in

Komal Nahta too feels the same about Drishyam 2‘s box office prospects.

“The opening could even go up to Rs 12 crore. The franchise has become a cult of sorts. Moreover, it won’t face any competition from Kantara as the film is in its last lap,” he told India Today.in
